Silver on the Sage

From Rusty’s notebook
Some nights feel wide enough
to hold the whole sky.
“Silver on the Sage” lives out on the high plains —
campfire smoke rising into the dark,
wind moving through the sage,
and the quiet sense
that the past has finally loosened its grip.
It’s a song about distance —
about healing old scars
under a sky that stretches further
than our worries.
Out where the fire burns low
and the stars start writing
their stories again.
