The Ember's Glow

From Rusty’s notebook

Some comfort only arrives when the road finally stops.
In “The Embers Glow”, the night settles softly around the trees,
while a small fire keeps the cold from reaching too far.

The song begins beside a quiet campfire —
where dry wood cracks and sparks climb high,
coffee boils in a dented metal pot,
and the weight of the city feels a thousand miles away.

Then the silence warms.
The wind stops howling,
crickets begin to sing,
and the glow in the hollow of the night
turns weariness into peace.

“The Embers Glow” is the moment after a long road and a cold wind.
It’s the sound of a tired heart slowing down,
of simple things becoming enough,
and a restless soul remembering
that everything can still be alright.

The blanket wrapped close.
The pine trees singing low.
A little spark against the dark.
And the whole night
held inside the ember’s glow.
