Chapter II | Beyond the Rust
Beyond the Rust
The second chapter in the quiet journey of Rusty Notebooks. Beyond the Rust is a story of departure — a road from the Atlantic toward the Pacific, always with the northern sky in sight, leaving the old rust behind.

The story behind the songs
Chapter IISome roads do not lead back.
“Beyond the Rust” is the second chapter in the quiet journey of Rusty Notebooks — a collection of songs shaped by departure, distant coastlines, cold morning light, and the steady pull of a horizon that keeps moving further west.
From the Atlantic edge toward the Pacific winds, the road stretches wide and uncertain — yet the eyes remain turned north, toward silence, open skies, and something not yet named.
This is a journey of leaving things behind: the old rust, the weight of yesterday, and the places that once felt familiar but no longer feel like home.
Between empty highways, weathered signs, grey water, mountain air, and the first quiet moments after goodbye, these songs follow the fragile distance between what held us back… and what calls us forward.
So gather what remains, leave the rust behind, and follow the road westward — always beneath the northern sky, beyond the rust.
